one-to-one maths tuition

in Dundee

With my extensive experience in the field, every student can expect to learn, anticipate, immerse, improve, gain confidence, enjoy, discover and achieve their potential, and finally achieving their desired grades in mathematics.

Based in Dundee, for private home tuition I will travel to you if required. This covers Dundee and the surrounding areas. Further information on geography is included on the contact us page. 

For online tuition, I am extending the maths tuition from Dundee, the surrounding areas and through to other geographical areas and beyond. As a teacher, this is now possible using video conference tools and apps. More information can be found on the online tuition page. 

There is continued debate on how the maths curriculum should be delivered. Constant comparisons are regularly being made between the previous O-grades, Standard grades and the Curriculum For Excellence which is now being implemented. This Curriculum For Excellence also presently incorporates extra assessments and unit tests. 

Having received my school education in the 70s and 80s, I was provided with excellent teaching and good resources to use.

Using the above strong foundations along with my present knowledge and experience gained, the aim now is to bring all this together with the help the students receive at school. These assessments and unit tests can then be undertaken with more confidence. The students would ultimately progress from the unit tests to prelim and final exams in later years of secondary.

The final goal would therefore be a mathematics grade on their certificate that would reflect the student’s potential.
